Kevin McCarthy is attacking me — by name — in order to distract from his own inability to control his party and keep the government open. Here’s a screen grab of his statement about me:

Why is Kevin so sure that immigrants at the border aren’t seeking asylum? Has he gone down as asked each one of them if they’re escaping persecution? Of course not. In the words of Republican Matt Gaetz, Kevin is “lying like a dead dog.” I’m the one (not Kevin McCarthy) who represents Clarkston, the town with the highest concentration of refugees in the country.

Now, FAUX News is now amplifying McCarthy’s attack. Like a good lapdog masquerading as a news outlet, they’re trying to discredit my Court reform efforts while distracting from Kevin’s failure as a leader and his inability to keep the government open.

This is just the MAGA right’s latest dog whistle, as they try to paint me as ignorant while Kevin’s ignorance has brought the whole nation to the brink of disaster. I’m proud to be this week’s MAGA target.
