Hi. I’m Victoria, a 17 year old from Tustin California and my mom is running for congress in California 40 (yes, I am actually the one writing this email, all words courtesy of me).

As I head toward going to college, I want to have the same rights as women in the 1970s, and, due to my metabolic condition, a pregnancy would be extremely dangerous. However, I am no longer sure that if I were to be put in that situation, I would have a continued chance at living. Not because of my condition, but because of the laws that prevent me getting access to the care I need.

I am well aware that in California abortion is still legal, but with a federal ban on the horizon, my mom needs to win. And, she also needs to have the money to do it. This is why I am writing to you today. I encourage you to give whatever you can to help her take on her competition, so that me and all my friends and the women behind me can have a future that continues to move forward into tomorrow.
