Gun Violence Prevention Advocate,
Cayla Waddington is a high school student and gun safety activist who joined us at a press conference this September as part of our campaign to keep kids safe in schools.
During our campaign, you stood up and said kids should be safe from gun violence in their classrooms – not through bulletproof backpacks, but through life-saving policy change. And with your help, we accomplished huge strides pushing for legislative change on gun safety.
We want to stand up for the young people who are leading this movement. In a moment I'm going to ask you to sign up to make a monthly donation to support our work, but first I want to tell you about all that we achieved this past month. During the past month of advocacy, we:

-Received over 1,200 signatures to our petition to state lawmakers supporting our Common Agenda to End Gun Violence legislative agenda
-Hosted five back to school town halls where we were joined by educators, students, public health experts, law enforcement officials, community leaders, and state legislators to discuss building safer schools through policy reform
-Multiplied your voice through community events and press conferences that were covered in local news across the Commonwealth
-Educated Pennsylvanians on the truth about what causes and prevents school gun violence through a fun, interactive, and shareable online myths vs. facts quiz
