The current rep is talking about a milk ban instead of government funding
This week, the current 7th Congressional District representative, Tom Tiffany, celebrated his success in stopping a "milk ban" in schools. Really? That's the most pressing issue for legislators to solve this week? We are greater than this. He thinks we can divert attention by making up problems, instead of solving them.Â
There wasn't a milk ban, only input on a proposed rule about added sugar (10g per 8oz). Let's protect our kids instead of the sugar industry.
Wisconsin uses 90% of its milk to make cheese. Let's protect Wisconsin farmers by focusing on our main dairy export - cheese!
This is a blatant attempt to pull the wool over the voters' eyes and distract from the lack of progress on making healthcare work for everyone, providing affordable housing, and protecting Social Security. Oh, and the pending government shutdown by the "Freedom Caucus" of which he is a member.Â
Thank you for your continued messages of support, donations, and willingness to ask great questions. While the incumbent is focusing on diversions (chocolate milk in schools), I'm listening to the real problems in our communities and building a plan to take them on.
You all deserve a big thanks for getting involved and protecting our families, freedoms, and futures!
Again, thank you for being with me on this journey towards prioritizing working families.
