See the difference your support made this fiscal year.
John -
Our financial year ends on September 30, and I am looking back on this year in awe. There were times when climate disasters and politicians rolling back climate policies have left me feeling angry, frustrated and sometimes near hopeless. However, I am incredibly proud of everything we've been able to do together, to move to a world beyond fossil fuels.
And while this is a time of reflection and restrategizing for many of us, we can't afford to slow down. Fossil fuel companies are pushing ahead with their greedy and world-wrecking tactics. So we need to push forward too. Can we count on your first gift today to help us grow our climate movement so we can create a brighter future for all?
CONTRIBUTE $3.50
The impact we have made is all thanks to donations from supporters like you. To refresh your memory, I put together a short list of some of our victories this past financial year. Take a look:
- Our ongoing fight against the destructive East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP). Our global actions have successfully pressured investors to stop their support for the pipeline. So far, 27 banks and 23 (re)insurers dropped their investments.
- Earlier this month, we called on President Biden and G20 leaders to commit to tripling renewable energy capacity globally by 2030 to limit the rise of global temperatures, and that's exactly what they did at the G20 summit.
- Just last week, 350.org helped mobilize tens of thousands of climate activists during Climate Week in NYC. This was the biggest climate march since the COVID-19 pandemic, and our collective voice successfully pushed President Biden to take bold climate action and launch a new Climate Corps in the United States.
John, there is so little time left to make an impact until our 2023 books close. But currently, we are behind on our financial goal to keep all of our climate campaigns operational. If we can close this gap together, our organization can go back to building climate-saving campaigns and dismantling the fossil fuel industry. That's why we're hoping we can count on you today.
Your first gift today will help us build climate campaigns and go toe-to-toe with fossil fuel companies. Help us build a world with renewable, community kept energy.
DONATE NOW
The impact of your donation today will be felt long after this deadline. It will be felt by the activists on the frontlines of the climate crisis, in the community of our local and global groups, and in our ability to end the era of fossil fuels.
Thank you for all that you do.
With gratitude,
Deborah Wong for 350.org
