Hey, John,I'm on the road again today, back out west for a few events in the mountains, so I'll keep this one really quick and to the point.

Today is the last day of September—and while we don't have a reporting deadline this month like federal campaigns do, it's still three-quarters of the way through the year, making this monthly deadline an important benchmark for us.

The primary elections will be here before we know it, and after that, we can expect all-out warfare from our GOP opponent to try and drown out our message. Now is the time when we have to be getting ready—but if we can't keep pace with our fundraising goals, we won't have the capacity to preempt those attacks and ensure that voters are hearing the truth about what we stand for.

But the good news is that if everyone who opens this email donated just $25, we would blow so far past our goal that I could take next month off from fundraising. We have a lot of strength in our numbers, but I need you to step up before midnight tonight to make that happen. Can I ask you to please contribute any amount you can?
