In just a moment, I am going to ask you to make a contribution to The Long Run and our movement to continue electing changemaking candidates up and down the ballot.

But first, give me a chance to explain why your donation today is so critical.

Tonight at midnight, we face our critical September end-of-quarter deadline. We have had deadlines in the past, but honestly, this deadline is different.

Why? Because this deadline is during a time when we need to show up as strong as we can for Wisconsin.

Wisconsin’s democracy has been under attack by right-wing extremist legislators who have been putting their own needs and political motivations above the voice of Wisconsinites.

For the past few months, we have seen the GOP in Wisconsin threaten to remove Justice Janet Protasiewicz from the Wisconsin Supreme Court because her presence could bring an end to their unfair and heavily gerrymandered maps.

And just recently, we saw the Wisconsin GOP vote to remove a non-partisan elections commission officer because right-wing conspiracists blame her for Trump’s 2020 loss and she would not bend to their political pressure.

So there is no doubt in my mind that these Republicans will do anything they can to make sure Trump will win Wisconsin in 2024.

Under no circumstance can we allow these corrupt politicians to rig elections in their favor, and we need to be ready to fight to protect our democracy in Wisconsin and across the country.

So, if you can, please contribute to our movement so we can fight to take back the legislative majority in Wisconsin and unseat extremists across the country who pose a threat to our democracy.
