I'm unimpressed, John: Here are just a few of the recent Washington Post headlines out of Richmond.
“Va. Gov. Youngkin deploys National Guard to Texas border”
“Youngkin feeds 2024 presidential buzz with ad linking him to Reagan”
“Youngkin blasts Trump indictment as proof of ‘two-tiered justice system’”
Gov. Glenn Youngkin is busy doing absolutely everything EXCEPT the job he was elected to do.
Teaming up with Ron DeSantis to fight a make-believe war against migrant families at the Southern border doesn’t make life better for Virginians.
Producing expensive TV ads to boost his inevitable presidential run (after serving less than one term in public office) doesn’t help working families.
Complaining about the unfairness of the former President facing consequences for breaking the law — just like any one of us would — doesn’t solve any of the problems that folks across the Commonwealth face.
Ultimately, we need leaders who will stick around for the long haul, not use Virginians as a stepping stone to the next rung on the career ladder.
John, we can’t trust Gov. Youngkin to do right by us, and that makes it all the more critical to defend our narrow State Senate majority and flip the House of Delegates.
So, will you pitch in $25, $35, or whatever you can to help us reach our final End-of-Quarter goal by tonight at midnight?
Onward,
Elaine Luria
