With so much at stake, and so much uncertainty at this moment, contributions today matter a lot—for reasons you already know.  I won’t take a long time explaining.  I am sure your email inbox is as full of end-of-quarter fundraising messages as mine is.

But I do want to take the opportunity while I have your attention to share my thoughts that the deadlines before us remind us how important it is to elect serious, responsible people, and how this team has worked together so well to do that.

Our campaign has invested millions of dollars over the years in reaching and engaging voters, in increasing voter turnout, and in shaping a path forward for our community and country that builds us up and shows us the possibilities of what we can do when we work together.

That’s not what we are seeing in the House of Representatives these days.  But we know how different things were when Democrats were in charge of the House over the last few years.  And we know they can be again.  But that means we have to win this and other critical elections.  I hope you will help us do so by contributing today.
