Montanans want leaders who understand their daily lives and struggles, not one who's had everything handed to him -- including this seat.

I know struggle. After my dad died when I was a baby, I was raised for several years by a single mom. When my step-dad, a union carpenter, came into our lives I watched him commute long hours from Bozeman to Great Falls to find the next good union job.

I'll be an effective advocate for struggling Montana families because their story is my story too. And I've pledged not to accept a dime of corporate PAC money, so that I'm accountable only to the people of Montana.

We have a big fundraising goal to hit before midnight tonight and we don't have corporate donors coming to our rescue. Instead, I'm counting on supporters like you. Can you chip in $5 before midnight?

My opponent, GOP Senator Steve Daines, couldn't be more different. He is putting our kids' future at risk by dismantling environmental protections, passing tax bills that put working families last, and consistently threatening the health care that so many of our families rely on.

I can't even comprehend that a Montana senator would be actively putting families in harm's way like Steve Daines does.

I'm running to serve and fight for our families. I'm asking: will you contribute before our midnight deadline to elect a senator who will fight for Montanans?
