Back in April, we announced the results of our annual supporter survey. In case  you missed it, John, we’ve put together a blog and a report highlighting all the reflections, suggestions and fresh ideas into our campaigns for a fairer and greener economy.

Since then John, we’ve been ramping up the pressure on greedy banks and corrupt politicians.. Over the summer, hundreds of people tuned into our webinar about the digital pound, and we joined thousands of festival goers at Glastonbury to spread the truth about our money and banking system. We also ran two protests outside the Bank of England to demand an end to relentless rate hikes and call for a windfall tax on bank profits.

We’ve got even bigger plans this autumn John. We know banks will be announcing another round of massive profits in October and with the Chancellor’s Autumn Statement coming up, these are big opportunities to apply more pressure on politicians and the banks to address soaring inequality and corporate greed.

But taking on the rich and powerful costs money, John and we don’t have deep pockets like the big banks or wealthy CEOs. We rely on small donations from our community of supporters to run campaigns, and that’s how we’ve been able to punch way above our weight. A £5 donation will ensure we’ve got enough to prepare for an autumn full of action and push to truly make a difference.
