Deadline to Apply: August 16, 2019
Currently, Latinas only make up 3% of the 25% female science and technology
workforce. In this pilot program, LULAC and Spectrum will support efforts to
increase Hispanic female representation in STEAM fields of study and careers.
LULAC is looking to fund 3 sites in the Austin, TX area to support STEAM
education among middle school girls. The awarded sites will receive a $5,000
grant in to support STEAM education through tutoring, hands on STEAM activities,
field trips, and a speaker series in the Austin area from September - December
2019.

In partnership with the CDC, LULAC invites you to apply to the Partnering and
Communicating Together (PACT) to Act Against AIDS (AAA) 2019 Healthy Communities
Stipend Opportunity in order to host an HIV/AIDS awareness event in your
community.
Accepting applications on a rolling basis until September 1, 2019.

LULAC looks to connect families to this opportunity through its network of
councils and partners. AT&T Access offers low-cost wireline home internet service
to low-income families in order to provide access to many families that cannot
afford expensive services. To qualify for AT&T access, families must provide
verification of their participation in the SNAP program.
Partners and councils are able to apply for microgrants that will allow them to
feature AT&T Access information at community events and meetings.
The microgrants will offer up to $500 per event, depending on the amount of reach
the events will have.
