Team,
First, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, putting an end to federal protection for abortion rights and allowing a draconian ban on abortion care beginning at six weeks – before many people even know they’re pregnant – to take effect before it was blocked by a judge.
Then – just this week – the Ohio Supreme Court heard arguments in a case challenging Ohio’s extreme abortion ban – and could rule at any time to allow Ohio Republicans to restrict abortion access even in cases of rape or incest.
But now, we have the chance to ensure that the right to abortion care – and the full range of reproductive healthcare, including miscarriage management and contraception – is covered under the Ohio Constitution, thanks to a ballot measure this fall.
It’s all hands on deck to get the word out about this critical ballot measure ahead of Election Day – and Saturday is our last public fundraising deadline before voters go to the polls. Please, rush $5 right now >>
Ohio is a pro-choice state. We overwhelmingly support the right of women to make their own healthcare decisions, in conjunction with our doctors and our families – not to have those decisions dictated down to us by politicians.
But rather than respecting the right of Ohioans to access needed healthcare, Republicans are resorting to dirty tricks to try to restrict care, even resorting to attempts to make it harder to pass the upcoming ballot measure.
We’re fighting back – but time is running out before Election Day. Before our upcoming deadline on Saturday, chip in to protect reproductive healthcare access and elect Ohio Dems up and down the ballot.
Thank you,
Ohio Dems
A reproductive rights initiative is on the Ohio ballot this November. Can Ohio Democrats count on you to chip in $5, $10, or whatever you can to help fuel our fight to protect reproductive rights in our state constitution? →
