Cory Booker and Clay Middleton in conversation

I’ve known Clay for years. In addition to working for our 2020 presidential campaign, Clay has deep roots in South Carolina — he’s worked for House Whip Emeritus Jim Clyburn, for DNC Chair Jaime Harrison’s 2020 Senate campaign, and worked on countless local initiatives to make Charleston a better place for all its residents.

He’s currently a Lieutenant Colonel in the South Carolina Army National Guard, where he has served for over two decades. He earned a Bronze Star Medal for his service in Operation Iraqi Freedom. And he served in roles for President Barack Obama, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and on the Biden-Harris Transition Team.

Clay’s campaign motto is “A new brick in an old foundation” — and his humility, selfless acts of service, and belief in Charleston would make him an exceptional mayor.

So John, join me in supporting Clay Middleton’s mayoral campaign by making a donation of $10 or any amount that feels right to you today.

As a former mayor, I know what it takes to run a city, serve your community, and get big things done. Clay does too.

Thank you for your help supporting the next generation of leaders in races large and small across our country.

With love and gratitude,

Cory
