John --
This week President Trump announced the launch of a new, inhumane and unconstitutional wing of the Department of Justice with powers to strip citizenship from foreign-born or naturalized citizens!
The sole purpose of this new “Denaturalization Task Force” is to pick and choose naturalized citizens to be stripped of their citizenship and deported. Human rights advocates warn that simply misspeaking in an immigration interview could be considered justification for deportation.
The Coalition for Human Immigrant Rights said, “Trump is weaponizing the DOJ to make naturalized immigrants look like second-class citizens.”
This is just the latest assault on the rights of American immigrants. Stephen Miller, a well-documented white nationalist, has led the administration’s call to end birthright citizenship. If they succeed, it would mean revoking the citizenship of children of first-generation immigrants who are born on U.S. soil.
Contribute $20.20 today to help us seat a Congress that will stand up for human rights, every time.

Has Congress done anything to stop these efforts?
The funding for this new agency comes, in part, from last summer’s $4.6B border funding bill for which Speaker Pelosi guaranteed passage in the House. And in the Senate, Minority Leader Schumer has consistently compromised with Mitch McConnell to ensure the swift approval of hundreds of judges to lifetime appointments in federal courts who are now upholding Trump’s inhumane policies.
When AOC and other freshmen members of Congress objected to the border funding bill last summer, they were chastised by Democratic leadership for “undermining the party.”
If party leaders are going to aid Mitch McConnell and Stephen Miller in continuing to fund ICE and CBP, to strip Americans of their citizenship, and to pack federal courts with anti-immigrant judges upholding unconstitutional policies, frankly, they deserve to be undermined.
Our first four primaries are just a few days away, and we have a chance to put forth nominees who will unapologetically stand on the side of the Constitution and human rights, every single time. But we need to help them turn out the vote.
Can you chip in $4 to help fund our Call Team, reminding voters in Texas and California to vote for Mike Siegel (TX-10), Adrienne Bell (TX-14), Kimberly Williams (CA-16) and Peter Mathews (CA-47) so we can go 4 for 4 on Super Tuesday?
