In case you missed it: Nancy Mace went on ABC's talk show This Week and said that a government shutdown would be a "vacation."

Let's be clear:

A government shutdown would leave 1.3 million active-duty troops without pay. 

It would jeopardize nutrition assistance for nearly 7 million women and children.

It would delay critical food and water inspections.

It would keep many rural families, farmers, students, and small businesses from receiving necessary loans. 

Plus, it would disrupt research for diseases like cancer and Alzheimer's, Medicare and Medicaid services, and more. 

This doesn't sound like much of a vacation to me, John. The only reason we're facing a shutdown is because MAGA Republicans like Nancy Mace would rather hurt millions of Americans than work across the aisle.
