There’s a lot of misconceptions about the South, folks,

When it comes to the South, people tend to write us off as a Republican playpen where far-right politics run unopposed and unquestioned.

They couldn’t be more wrong.

I’m no stranger to having the odds stacked against me. As a working woman in a man’s world, I know what it’s like to be told “you don’t have a chance” or “there’s no way.” But I’m living proof that if you stay committed to your goals, you can achieve whatever you set your mind to. That’s exactly how I feel about running to be Louisiana’s next Attorney General.

People think we can’t run a successful Democratic campaign because we’re in the South, but we can prove them wrong by spreading the word about our vision for a more equitable Louisiana. However, we can’t do that work without a strong, grassroots base.
