In about 36 hours, we’ll submit our quarterly fundraising report to the FEC. This is a big deal because our opponents, and even Kevin McCarthy himself, will be combing through our public report to see if we’re still garnering the grassroots support to defend this seat in 2024.

We’re hoping to bring in another $15,000 in online donations before the deadline. That would put us in a GREAT position. We would show real strength, and get a head start in defending this seat.

If you’re able, please consider a contribution to our re-election campaign before midnight Saturday. Any amount helps, but $5 will go a long way.

After this, we’ll only have one more FEC deadline before the Illinois primary election. Then we’ll know exactly which Republican will have the national GOP’s dark money machine behind them.

The more we can build a firewall of grassroots support now, the stronger we’ll be for the tough re-election fight ahead -- able to weather whatever empty attacks the far right throws our way.

We hate sending these types of emails as much as most don’t like receiving them. But with the stakes so high, we have to pull out every last ask we can.
