Hi John,
It’s been quite a busy month for Lauren. She kicked off September with a powerful Labor Day speech (see our picture from the audience below) celebrating labor unions and hardworking Americans from families in IL-14 to communities across the country.
Lauren shared something that struck us: “In the Congress, I am doing everything I can to find wins when we can, but realistically, if we want to make real progress, we’re going to need to flip the House back.” That’s why we’ve been talking about those five seats we need for the majority!
This week, Lauren joined United Auto Workers members in Naperville on the picket line striking for higher pay and job security. We proudly stand in solidarity with labor unions and will always advocate for working families.
While Lauren has been out meeting and hearing stories from folks across IL-14 and working hard in Washington to make progress on the critical issues she learns from them, we’ve been doing all we can to ensure we reach our major end-of-quarter goal.
What if you knew that we need to keep Lauren doing what she does best, listening to and connecting with people across the district, not spending her days dialing for dollars?
Or what if you knew that unlike other politicians, Lauren doesn’t self-fund her campaign? She depends on individual contributions from folks like you to make her work possible.
So instead of worrying her about our progress toward our big FEC fundraising deadline — let’s show Lauren that this is the same grassroots team that has taken on right-wing megadonors and made history. We know we can do it again!
John, I just ran our numbers again and we’re still $3,401 shy of our goal and we could really use your help. Will you chip in with an urgent donation by Saturday's midnight deadline?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
Thanks for your support, it means a lot!
