We’re one day away from a full government shutdown, thanks to Kevin McCarthy and the dysfunctional GOP majority.

Still, instead of working with Betty and her Democratic colleagues to keep the government open and federal employees on the job, House Republicans are focusing on their baseless impeachment inquiry into President Biden and inciting hateful culture wars. 

Yesterday, MAGA Republican Lauren Boebert launched into a transphobic rant on the House floor during the defense spending bill debate while proposing lowering a senior trans defense official’s salary to $1. One Democrat fought back! 

Thankfully, as the ranking member of defense appropriations, Betty was there to swiftly and forcefully call out Boebert’s bigotry and stand up for all brave LGBTQ+ Americans in uniform. 

The House GOP’s attacks on the LGBTQ+ community, abortion rights, climate change, and more are relentless. Betty is fighting every day to hold the line, and it’s essential we prove that we have her back.

When our fundraising numbers are made public after tomorrow’s FEC end-of-quarter deadline, they must send an undeniable message about the strength of our campaign and our support for Betty. But with one day to go, we’re still trailing our goal by $12,561.
