Operation Lone Star (OLS) is a Texas state operation to defend our southern border.  

Since its inception in 2021, Operation Lone Star has made a major positive impact for Texas and America. In that time, OLS has apprehended nearly 400,000 illegal immigrants and made over 30,000 criminal arrests.  

Why would any Texan be against this? There’s no doubt that OLS has SAVED LIVES and helped slow down the avalanche of opioids and fentanyl being smuggled over the border.  

That’s why it’s so shameful that Colin Allred – the Democrat running to take me on in next year’s United States Senate Race – voted to DEFUND this life-saving program.  

Yes, you read that right! Allred joined the far-left wing of the House Democrat Caucus to vote for Amendment No. 51, which bans any funding from the Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Bill from going to Operation Lone Star here in Texas.  

This outrageous vote to strip border security funding from his own state DOES NOT represent Texas or American values- and it would harm and hurt those we love.  

We can’t afford to let an open-border candidate like Colin Allred anywhere near the U.S. Senate. Texas needs a Senator who will FIGHT to protect his constituents – not one who reflexively votes for failed far-left ideas.
