John – I hate asking for money. It’s my least favorite part of this job. 

But the raw truth is that, in this day and age, we need Democrats to step up as regularly as they can. We are in the middle of a September fundraising push and it would be great if you could step up with a $3 donation this month.

Your September support is critical because, while we’ve been chipping away at it, we still have not closed the books on the 2022 campaign AND we are coming up on our end of quarter deadline.

To combat the deluge of GOP money, my campaign took on debt. Pundits moved our race to a toss-up, and I was getting calls from other Senators concerned that we couldn’t win. Fortunately, taking on debt worked, and we won.

Our outstanding bills makes your September support extremely important - but the math shows only a small percentage of people will act.

Only 9% of folks I send this email will open it. Of those, only 5% will click a link. And of THOSE, just 3% will activate their September support. That makes YOU extremely valuable.

Please give to this month to help put the 2022 campaign to bed. Only about 12 people will donate to this email, and I’m hoping that I can count on you to be one of them.
