As the representative for a district that is home to some of the most productive farmland in the country, Nikki was proud to join the House Agriculture Committee earlier this year to ensure the farmers across our district have a seat at the table.

Over the last several months, Nikki’s been working across the aisle to get the 2023 Farm Bill, which expires in just a few days, across the finish line to address the needs of rural communities throughout our country and secure critical funding to ensure farmers have the resources they need to thrive.

Right now, it looks like the passage of this bill will be stalled as MAGA Republicans' infighting and inability to pass a budget resolution leads our federal government to a shutdown.

Our families and farmers deserve more, and Nikki will continue fighting day in and day out to overcome Kevin McCarthy’s failed leadership to ensure we get things done for the American people.

But if we want to make real progress for the farmers and families in our district and across the country, we need to ensure ahead of 2024 that we protect Nikki’s seat in our effort to take back the House majority. National Republicans have named her a top target and her race could decide which party controls the House.
