Transit Month isn't over yet!

We have one more weekend of Transit Month, so let's end it in the best way possible: by attending more events and celebrating all things positive about public transit! Transit Month 2023 is a celebration of the role of public transportation in our communities and the Bay Area’s economic, social, and cultural vibrancy. We are celebrating with events, prizes, awards, and more. Several Transit Month events organized by our partners this year are being made possible through subgrants from San Francisco Transit Riders and Seamless Bay Area. 

 

Celebrate Transit Month at our Rider First Awards

Join San Francisco Transit Riders and Seamless Bay Area, October 13th at 4:30 pm, to close out Transit Month by celebrating some of the people who have gone above and beyond to improve transit in the past year. We'll honor bus operators, transit planners, and advocates alike who help us build a more equitable, growing and accessible public transit system and culture for all.

The Rider First Awards cap off a month of events, rallies, and our Ride Contest. It's also where we'll be announcing our various Ride Contest winners and handing out prizes - our award ceremony will begin at 5:30pm and you don't want to miss it!

 

We beat the Ridership Record! 

In celebration of Transit Month the Bay Area transit agencies and the MTC hosted All Aboard Transit Day last Saturday, September 16th. We challenged the region to break the Saturday September 2022 ridership record of 500,000+ trips across all modes of transit. We are thrilled to announce, riders came together across the Bay Area and took a stupendous 600,000+ trips across all local transit agencies!
