1) Biden’s Green Energy Program Making Putin Rich
The Wall Street Journalreported this week that Russia and Saudi Arabia are getting rich off the rise of the global oil price to nearly $100 a barrel. Gee, we wonder how that happened. We’ve only said 100 times on these pages that the Biden war on American energy is a strategy that only Vladimir Putin and Arab oil Sheiks could love.
Now we have the evidence to confirm that.
The chart below shows that since Biden took office Putin’s oil revenues tripled by early 2022 and are now about double their levels during the Trump era of pro domestic drilling. We should be 2 million barrels a day higher.
The best way to crush Putin’s war machine in Ukraine is by returning to a drill baby drill policy here at home. That will require a regime change here at home.
2) Govzilla' Is America’s Fastest Growing Industry in 2023
We’ve already shown on these pages that through the first eight months of this year, government hiring has outpaced nearly every private sector industry. Now we see that the latest Commerce Department GDP revisions report a dip in Americans’ spending habits. The report showed that government spending has now outpaced consumer spending in each of the last four quarters.
In two of the last three quarters, the increase in government spending has added more to headline GDP than the increase in consumer spending. And that’s despite government spending being a much smaller portion of the economy than consumer spending. Biden’s bloated government is crowding out the private sector.

3) Germany Lied About Impact of Shutting Down Nuclear Plant
Every day we uncover more evidence of how government officials twist data, exaggerate risks, and downright lie to advance a preordained political agenda. No one is worse than the German government, which has become a propaganda machine. In 2020, Germany’s Interior Ministry hired scientists from several research institutes to create only models that would justify tough COVID lockdowns. Welt am Sonntag magazine called it “cooking the books” – which was putting it mildly.
The government is again entangled in a scandal of apparently hiding documents that would have revealed the negative effects of shutting down Germany’s last nuclear power plants last year.
Cicero magazine alleges that the Interior Ministry concluded that the nuclear plants should still be closed despite the energy crisis brought on by the Ukraine War. But a leak of the draft report Included a section that estimated keeping the plants open would have reduced Germany’s carbon emissions by four-and-a-half times more than the government’s non-nuclear energy plans. That section was removed just before publication.
A German court order to release all of the nuclear report drafts will likely be embarrassing for the government. Not only have domestic carbon emissions risen due to the expanded use of coal, but Germany has become a net electricity importer.
What is doubly ironic about this scandal is that the German government nearly bankrupted and deindustrialized the country with its ill-fated experiment with wind and solar energy several years ago in order to cut carbon emissions. But then the same government shut down nuclear plants that emit almost NO carbon into the atmosphere. Germany should be BUILDING nuclear plants, they shouldn’t be shutting them down.
