So many friends have asked me how my life has changed since Colin decided to run for Senate against Ted Cruz. I always tell them the truth: It’s a huge sacrifice, the work never ends, and the stress just keeps piling up. 

But since the day I met Colin, I knew his dedication to public service was going to be a constant in our lives. 

We met in law school when the professor paired us up as partners – and we clicked instantly. Like me, he believed that the law should be used to build a world where everyone has the opportunity to chase their version of the American dream. And, like me, he was unapologetic in his pursuit of change. 

I have never doubted that Colin is the best man for this job. Texas is our home, and I know Colin will do whatever it takes to lift up his neighbors and build a better world for our kids. He's the most determined person I've ever met, and when he hits a roadblock, he will get his hands dirty and find a solution.
