Josh Cole and Lee Peters recently had their first debate of the general election. And, not surprisingly, abortion was brought up many times. We’re here to break down the debate for you.

When asked a pretty simple question about what his top priority in office would be, Lee Peters chose to answer by defending his views on abortion bans.

He stated, “Everybody is not concerned or worried about women’s rights.” 🙄 News flash: We absolutely are concerned about women’s rights!

Lee Peters also admitted that he was handpicked by GOP extremists. He’s received $75,000 from Republican Speaker Todd Gilbert, who has voted against abortion 40+ times.

In comparison, our endorsed candidate, Josh Cole, named defending the freedom to choose as his top priority.

Josh shared his personal story as the son of a single mother, a pastor, father, and public servant who was born and raised in Stafford County. He shared his successes in the General Assembly and relayed how he powerfully defended abortion access and women’s rights.

Josh is clearly the right choice for this seat, but he needs our help.

If anti-choice extremist Lee Peters wins, he will support Youngkin’s agenda to pass an abortion ban. On the other hand, Josh Cole is unapologetically pro-choice and will fight for reproductive rights in Richmond.
