Can you chip in $22 to prevent another $2,200 tax increase? Dear Neighbor, Everyone knows the last four years have resulted in an average residential tax increase of $2,200 for Prince William County families (this, in addition to the increased taxes on your meals and personal property). This didn't have to be the case. With record revenue, and personal economic fallout from shutdowns and inflation, I have proposed significantly reduced or flat tax bills for our homeowners each and every year I've been on the Board. With your help, I will do the same over the next four years. And with a citizen-friendly majority, we will actually make it happen. I know you've been socked enough by your local government the last four years. I'll never try to take $2,200 more out of your pocket in such a short amount of time - or any length of time. But if you have the means left over, I'm going to ask you to consider chipping in a smaller amount. Will you consider $22 today to help us stop another $2,200 (or more) increase to your residential tax bills in the next four years? If the trifecta of tax increases (home/residential, meals, vehicles/property) levied on you by the Board majority over the last four years have taught us anything, it's that no amount of inflation or economic hardship will soften the hearts of the current ruling class in Prince William County as it relates to your pocketbook. Your help today (at $22 or whatever amount you can afford) will enable a new citizen-first majority to do just that - place you, the citizen, first in Prince William County, once again. I understand what it takes to try to make ends-meet. I grew up in a very working-class family and today am right about in the middle of the middle class. As challenging as times have been, your government shouldn't be making life harder or more expensive on you. I'm not asking for $2,200. But $22 will go a long way towards restoring fiscal sanity in Prince William County and a government, of, by, and for the people of our great county. Thank you so much for your consideration and God Bless.
