Friend,

As reports of Coronavirus (COVID-19) continue to flood the news, I wanted to send a brief list of recommendations to help avoid the flu or COVID-19.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend:

-Avoiding close contact with people who are sick.
-Avoiding touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
-Staying home when you are sick.
-Covering your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throwing the tissue in the trash.
-Cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
-Washing your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

Also, a global health crisis is not an excuse for discrimination, racism, or xenophobia of any kind.

This coming week, I look forward to voting for a supplemental funding package by the House of Representatives to combat COVID-19.

Thank you and be safe,
Ted
