This Week: At A Glance




Monday, Rep. Monica De La Cruz (TX-15), who represents a South Texas district
that includes a portion of the border, spoke about how the border crisis is
both unsafe for migrants and American citizens. She described the additional
strain the recent surge has put on local communities and a Biden administration
that is failing to address it.

Rep. Jen Kiggans (VA-02) is determined to ensure that troops continue
receiving their paychecks should the government shut down, and she has
introduced bipartisan legislation to do just that. OnTuesday, Roll Call

active-duty military servicemembers and reservists who would be forced to
