Monday, Rep. Monica De La Cruz (TX-15), who represents a South Texas district
that includes a portion of the border, spoke about how the border crisis is
both unsafe for migrants and American citizens. She described the additional
strain the recent surge has put on local communities and a Biden administration
that is failing to address it.

Rep. Jen Kiggans (VA-02) is determined to ensure that troops continue
receiving their paychecks should the government shut down, and she has
introduced bipartisan legislation to do just that. OnTuesday, Roll Call

covered her efforts and noted that "[t]here are currently almost 2.1 million
active-duty military servicemembers and reservists who would be forced to
report for duty without pay."

Wednesday, Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL) delivered an impassioned plea to reporters
asking them to cover the horrors of the border crisis and the migrants who are
being preyed upon by violent criminals and the drug cartels. “Guys, that’s not
the American Dream,” the senator said. “That’s an American nightmare.”

withholding federal funding for elementary and secondary school hunting and
archery programs.Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) and a group of her colleagues fought
