Dear John,

Earlier this week we called upon our dedicated volunteers to step forward and serve as scrutineers for the upcoming racially divisive referendum on October 14. What is the significance of scrutineering and how it plays a pivotal role in upholding the core principles of democracy?

The Role of Scrutineering in Democracy

At its heart, scrutineering is about ensuring that the democratic process remains transparent, reliable, and robust. It's a duty that extends beyond political affiliation, transcending partisan boundaries to uphold the very essence of our democracy.

As scrutineers, you become the guardians of fairness and accountability, standing as a vital link between the electoral process and the people it serves.

Transparency and Trust

Democracy thrives on transparency and trust. When you step up as a scrutineer, you actively contribute to both. By diligently watching the referendum ballot count, you help verify that the process is free from any irregularities or improprieties.

The Pillars of Reliability

In a democracy, the integrity of the electoral system is sacrosanct. Scrutineers play an indispensable role in upholding this integrity. They ensure that every vote is counted, that no valid vote is dismissed, and that the rules of the referendum are followed.

Your Contribution Matters

When you are a scrutineer, you are not just representing One Nation, but you are representing the bedrock of democracy itself. Your dedication, your watchful eye, and your commitment to fairness are what make our processes robust, reliable, and true to the democratic spirit.

Taking Action

If you haven't already volunteered to be a scrutineer, we invite you to join us in this crucial mission. Your involvement can make all the difference in ensuring that the 2023 racial referendum reflects the will of the Australian people, untainted by doubts or suspicions.

Please complete and submit the information form in the links above. Once received, we will email you a pre-filled form from our office, which you must print and take to a returning officer at a polling booth where you intend to scrutineer.

This week's cartoon covers the story of Anet Zero, who the Canberra Bubble fell in love with at first sight, desperate to impress her. Watch as the crew nails a hilarious part of Australia's political landscape.

Can you do Pauline a favour? We need to keep these cartoons going, and your purchase of a bottle of rum will help our cause and bring our weekly cartoon to life.
