Hi John,
Did you see this big headline in the New York Times?
Writing about the Fox Corporation’s wretched lack of journalistic standards would be a waste of space, so let’s cut to the chase.
We all know how dangerous Fox News’ lies are. For shareholders, including New York City’s public pension funds, it’s costing hundreds of millions of dollars. Just recently, Fox had to pay $787 million to Dominion Voting Systems for lying about election fraud.
That’s why, as New York City Comptroller, I’m leading a lawsuit against the Fox News board to hold them accountable for leaving the company open to defamation lawsuits.
Look, Rupert Murdoch might be stepping down, but our lawsuit against the Fox Corporation is moving full steam ahead.
The company’s wreckless so-called “journalism” threatens their bottom line and long-term profitability for shareholders, including nearly 800,000 current and retired City employees.
Thanks,
11 Park Pl. New York, New York 10007
