Jack, excellent news: After 146 days on strike, the Writers Guild of America won an "exceptional" contract with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP)!
This is a huge victory, but the fight isn’t over yet. SAG-AFTRA is still on strike in their TV/Theatrical contract and may soon strike video game work. Let's have their back as they fight for the future and well-being of the entertainment industry. AMPTP and video game companies must negotiate a fair deal!

For months, SAG-AFTRA negotiated in good faith, while AMPTP stonewalled. Ten weeks into the strike, AMPTP still hasn't moved on the most critical issues, including fair compensation, protection from AI technology, and updates to pension and health contribution caps that have been stagnant for decades.
In addition to the TV/Theatrical contract strike, SAG-AFTRA members recently authorized a strike on the Interactive Media Agreement that covers work on video games. This allows the union to move forward with a strike if video game companies refused to offer acceptable terms during negotiations.
Until the AMPTP makes a fair deal, many actors, writers, and crew members will continue to strike. If video game companies aren’t willing to meaningfully engage in negotiations, then their talented workforce will join hotel workers, autoworkers, and others on the picket lines. Let's have SAG-AFTRA's back as they fight a system where those in charge of multibillion-dollar media conglomerates are rewarded for exploiting workers.
