Our FIRST QUARTERLY fundraising deadline ever for this campaign since we launched just two months ago on 7/5/23 is fast approaching! We need 147 more people to donate $34 to meet our goal. We’ve raised an incredible amount through our grassroots donors, but we need to raise $5k more to reach our goal by the September 30th deadline. 

I will never be beholden to corporate PACs and will never take their money because accepting their money will perpetuate the continued implementation of a failed “trickle down economy” that has been in effect the past several decades and has only benefited corporate and special interests, at the expense and neglect of the people. By refusing corporate PAC money, we can become a part of the growing critical mass of elected Congressmembers who refuse to do as well, and help usher in a new era of People-Centered Politics, and a “trickle up economy” that prioritizes the interest of the People over any corporate interest, or short-term maximization of profits. While career politicians may say they’re fighting for the People on issues, they say so merely as empty lip service and campaign promises as their corporate funders’ interests aren’t aligned so and the direct opposite.

I am honored to announce that 2022 LA Mayoral Candidate Gina Viola has officially endorsed my campaign for Congress in CA-34! 

Gina Viola has been a dedicated community advocate for many years, fighting for LGBTQ rights with Aids Project Los Angeles and as a mentor and board member for the organization Girls & Gangs. Gina Viola’s vision for a more just and equitable Los Angeles has been an inspiration for all those who followed her. Gina and I both share the same commitment to fighting for the basic needs of our communities – because a safe community is one whose needs are met. Her endorsement, along with the support of other community leaders, is a testament to the fact that I can’t be bought by special interests and that I will represent the voices of the people, not of corporate PACs.
