DES solicits new contract for temporary medical staffing services
DES is developing a solicitation for a new statewide contract for Temporary Medical Staffing Services. This solicitation will include temporary nursing and locum tenens services.
- Please consider providing feedback on your agency?s interest in these services?through our survey?no later than Oct. 17.
DES is also looking for purchasers and subject matter experts to participate as sourcing team members. As a sourcing team member, you will have a voice in developing this solicitation and influencing the award of the eventual contract(s).

DES solicits new contract for pest management?
DES is developing a solicitation for a new statewide contract for integrated pest management services.
The solicitation includes marine environments, in and around buildings, and consulting to manage pests like insects and rodents in an environmentally friendly and cost-effective manner.?

DES solicits new fire detection, suppression contract?
DES is developing a solicitation for fire detection, suppression and inspection services to succeed statewide contract 03115, which expires Jan. 30, 2024.
This solicitation will provide fire detection and suppression system services, including inspections, testing services, maintenance and repair.
DES recently activated the NASPO cooperative contract 24223. However, in order to provide more opportunities to small, diverse and veteran-owned businesses, we are developing our own statewide contract for these services. ?

DES extends timeline on IT Project Management solicitation?
DES is extending the timeline for the IT Project Management solicitation, contract 14822.?
Due to the number of bids we received, we've adjusted the following dates:
- Announce apparent successful bidders: mid-October
- Contract award date: early November
We are still evaluating bids and will provide additional information when it is available.

Join evaluation team for new communications and marketing statewide contract?
DES is developing a new statewide contract 20422?for Communications and Marketing Services. We are?looking for purchasers and subject-matter experts to participate as evaluators in November and December to review and score bids from vendors. The team scores will determine the vendors are available on the contract.?
This is the first statewide contract of its kind. The solicitation has?six categories available for vendors to bid. We will award contracts to up to 72 vendors.?Bids are due Nov. 1.
We expect to evaluate between 20 to 100 bids per category; each evaluation may take 30 minutes to an hour.

Join sourcing team for equipment rental statewide contract; contract gap expected
DES is developing a replacement contract for equipment rental and is looking for purchasers and subject matter experts to participate as sourcing team members. Sourcing team members for this contract are anticipated to be called upon as needed for approximately three months, from October to December. Responsibilities will include reviewing documents and details of the solicitation.?
The statewide contract is for as-needed/as-available equipment rental without operators. The contract includes multiple categories for the most-used rental equipment used by state government, including dozers, excavators, generators and trailers.
The existing?contract 02915 for equipment rental is expiring on Dec. 31.?We tentatively expect to award the new contract in March 2024. There will be a gap in contract coverage, so we encourage purchasers to place orders before the expiration date.

DES announces new auto glass contract??
DES has a new auto glass statewide contract 21822, effective Sept. 15. DES awarded contracts to small businesses H&L Auto Glass in Kennewick and Al?s Glass Service in Moses Lake. The new contract supplements auto glass contract 07021, which serves all other regions of the state.??
Washington state agencies operate vehicle fleets at locations throughout the state. Fleets require auto glass repair and replacement for automobile windshields, windows, flat glass, and related services and products.
DES designed this contract to provide agencies a way to efficiently and cost-effectively find auto glass repair and replacement services.

Statewide contract changes
Vendor changes pricing on office supplies contract
DES posted updated pricing for ODP Business Solutions on Office Supplies contract 06019, effective Oct. 15.
The vendor's prices either increased or decreased based on the Producer Price Indexes identified for each category in the contract. Many prices decreased.
