PROTECT MEDICATION ABORTION
|
ACLU Supporter – On this day 23 years ago, we reached a milestone in the fight for reproductive freedom: Mifepristone, a safe and effective pill used in medication abortion, was officially approved by the FDA. In the more than two decades since, mifepristone has been used in most abortion care in the United States – but anti-abortion extremists are currently attempting to rip away access to this vital medication in all 50 states through a case that's now before the Supreme Court. Make no mistake: We're speaking out and defending our right to access medication abortion, ACLU Supporter. But we need you in this fight with us. Will you sign on now to tell the courts to protect mifepristone? In August, a court attempted to severely limit access to the pill in a number of ways, including a ban on sending it by mail. This decision is paused, but the Supreme Court will ultimately decide the pill's fate. Thanks for your support, The ACLU Team P.S. This goes beyond medication abortion. We're at court in Ohio, North Carolina, and Alabama this week to fight for access to abortion and maternal health care. And this critical work is only possible thanks to generous supporters like you. |
