Dear
John,

We have so much to celebrate this fall! In
Virginia Beach, Stacey Truman, a cafeteria worker, inspires kids with
notes of love in their lunchboxes. Truman is a wonderful example of
the many unsung heroes who work tirelessly to go above and beyond for
kids in their communities.

As she said, "you never know what a
child is going through at home. You might be the only person showing
them kindness or feeding them that day." Truman, alongside many
other members of the No Kid Hungry community, came together this
September to write lunchbox notes for kids across the country.

In place of 3 Good Things this month, we
present you with 6 great lunchbox notes.

You are one in a million! I hope your day today feels as
special as you are. Know that people are rooting for you even from far
away, and that we believe in you. Go for it!

 

If you are having a rough day, don't worry. Tomorrow will
be better. Hugs are waiting for you at home.

 

I hope you have a great day and remember that no matter how
hard school is or how hard life is: Never give up! Keep smiling and
good things WILL happen.

 

No one is perfect, that's why pencils have erasers! You're
doing a great job!

 

Smile and always keep your head towards the sun!! Have a
great day!! Never let anyone steal your sunshine.
