John, as you know, Republican Mitch McConnell is just two seats shy of taking the gavel in the U.S. Senate. We can't let that happen.
Democrats’ ability to get things done on the issues we care about will depend largely upon whether we can defend our Senate majority. And Mitch McConnell and his allies are willing to spend hundreds of millions of dollars across the country to prevent that from happening.
If he does, all of our progress and plans for must-pass legislation could be put on hold for the next two years.
The Democratic Senate majority will be won or lost in battleground states like Montana, where Senator Jon Tester is running against Mitch McConnell’s handpicked GOP candidate who is sure to have millions of dark money dollars backing him up.
So before our FEC fundraising deadline just 48 hours from now, I’m personally asking:

Let me explain why your contribution before the September 30 FEC deadline this Saturday is so important.
If Jon’s FEC report is weaker than expected, McConnell and his allies will pour millions more dollars into negative attack ads.
And make no mistake, this is going to be a close race. Jon has won tough races before, including by about 3.5 points in 2018 — just two years after Donald Trump had won the state by 20 percent.
But this next election is poised to be Jon’s toughest (and most expensive) yet.
The good news? In a state like Montana, your contributions can go an awfully long way.
