I know I haven't emailed in a while, but I’m gearing up for a BIG announcement next week and thought this would be the perfect time to reintroduce myself:
My name is George Logan. I’m a proud family man, engineer, community leader, small business owner, and frontman for Electric Lady Band, a Jimi Hendrix tribute band that plays in some of Connecticut’s most rockin’ venues. | | Although, it’s more likely you know me from my 2022 campaign for Congress, where we narrowly missed flipping Connecticut's 5th Congressional District red by fewer than 2,000 votes. | This is a photo of my mom and dad. They instilled the values I live by today: to put your family first, give back to your community, value your education, and always work hard.
My parents left Guatemala and came to this great Nation to live out their American dream. They worked day and night at factory jobs and office administrative work to ensure I was getting the education to land a better job so that I could pursue my American dream. | I am a first-generation college graduate, and I even earned my master’s degree. I had to take out a good amount of student loans, but as my parents taught me, my hard work would pay off.
I soon met my wife, Lisa, and we fell in love. She has always been my rock. She spent her career working as a nurse, helping those struggling with their mental health and addiction. Together we did what every family strives to do, make sure the American Dream lives on for our children. | Lisa and I could not be prouder of our kids. But my goal is to continue making them proud of me; my job as their role model is not done yet.
I am living proof that the American dream is alive and well, but that dream cannot end with me. I want my children and future generations to have the opportunity to reach their full potential in life.
I have seen the mess that Joe Biden and the Democrats’ policies have brought upon our nation, and I have seen firsthand the struggles it has placed on my community. I can’t stand the fact that this is the environment our children have to start their lives in.
Our country has lost sight of our founding principles due to poor leadership and a culture that looks down on patriotism, and I’m ready to do something about it.
Looking at these photos brought back some great memories, and I hope to keep making more in a country that we all can be proud of.
In the coming days, we will be making an announcement that reflects our unwavering commitment to the American values we hold dear.
