Finding the Best Mental Health Support for You

Thursday, October 12, 9–10 am PT

This is a one-hour workshop that addresses the interest in finding a therapist and how finding the right one can often feel daunting. The intention of this workshop is to demystify the big questions around mental health care, including the different mental health provider options, the cost of counseling, how insurance can work to ameliorate such costs and what mental health options there are for those who might not be insured. This workshop is designed to give those in the entertainment industry an understanding of what types of mental health resources are out there, how to determine which ones might be a good fit and how to access them.

 

The Career Center offers a comprehensive suite of online programs and services that help entertainment industry and performing arts professionals to identify and find sideline work and discover new careers outside the industry.

Get started by attending The Career Center Orientation (Monday* or Wednesday session) to enroll in the career services offered. Once you've done that, you can enroll in workshops including Career Journey | Act 1: Who Am I? and Job Search Seminar, Unit 1: Personal Branding*.
