** Finding the Best Mental Health Support for You
------------------------------------------------------------
** Thursday, October 12, 12–1 pm ET

This is a one-hour workshop that addresses the interest in finding a therapist and how finding the right one can often feel daunting. The intention of this workshop is to demystify the big questions around mental health care, including the different mental health provider options, the cost of counseling, how insurance can work to ameliorate such costs and what mental health options there are for those who might not be insured. This workshop is designed to give those in the entertainment industry an understanding of what types of mental health resources are out there, how to determine which ones might be a good fit and how to access them.

** The Career Center

The Career Center offers a comprehensive suite of online programs and services that help entertainment industry and performing arts professionals to identify and find sideline work and discover new careers outside the industry.
Get started by attending The Career Center Orientation (Monday ([link removed]) or Wednesday ([link removed]) * session) to enroll in the career services offered. Once you've done that, you can enroll in workshops including Career Journey | Act 1: Who Am I? ([link removed]) * and Job Search Seminar, Unit 1: Personal Branding ([link removed]) .

The Entertainment Community Fund offers personalized health insurance counseling and enrollment support, referrals to health care resources and seminars on how to care for yourself.

The Friedman Health Center for the Performing Arts ([link removed]) , our primary and specialty care health center, is open for appointments. The Entertainment Community Fund operates several affordable housing residences across the country, and also offers resources to help you learn more about affordable housing opportunities and other housing-related issues you may encounter.
Our Housing Connect 2.0 Tutorial ([link removed]) will help applicants navigate New York City’s latest housing lottery system, understand changes to the process and show you how to set up a new profile.
