I believe workers need allies in Congress. From corporate greed to workplace exploitation, I’m pushing to protect and expand workers’ rights every day.

That’s why I’m a co-sponsor of the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act, which expands labor protections for workers to organize and collectively bargain in the workplace.

I introduced two pieces of legislation to protect worker health and safety during climate disasters and extreme weather events. The Worker Safety in Climate Disasters Act would prevent workers from being fired for seeking shelter during disasters and offer paid time off for workers affected by those disasters. The Wind Safety Standard Act would require the creation of a wind safety standard similar to the already existing standards for extreme heat.

And I’m honored that my staff have helped lead the charge for labor rights on Capitol Hill when they made history as one of the first congressional offices to unionize back in 2021.

I will never stop pushing to expand workers’ rights and that makes me a threat to the Chamber of Commerce and the right-wing anti-worker extremists at the Heritage Foundation. They’re preparing to potentially spend millions to try and stop my reelection to Congress. Just last weekend, my team and I helped organize a UAW rally in Wentzville, MO where I was joined by sister-in-service Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, local UAW presidents and workers in solidarity as workers rise up on strike to demand their right to fair pay, better benefits, and improved working conditions.

Honestly, I’m also proud of my 4% lifetime score from the right-wing funded Heritage Foundation too. I will never be on the side of corporate greed. I’m determined to end exploitation and create working conditions that honor the hard work and dedication of people. No one’s life should be put at risk by extreme weather or a lack of safety protections so a CEO or Wall Street shareholder can fill their pockets with a few more dollars.
