Check out our newest Treatment Talk, a social-media broadcast that has been released on CURE Epilepsy’s YouTube channel. This talk discusses the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of childhood absence epilepsy. The talk features Dr. Juliet Knowles, Assistant Professor in Neurology at Stanford University and a physician-scientist who provides clinical care for children with epilepsy and leads a lab team conducting basic, translational, and clinical research on pediatric epilepsy. She will be joined by Francine Ang, a patient of Dr. Knowles who has been diagnosed with childhood absence epilepsy. Viewers will learn about absence epilepsy, including how it is diagnosed, current treatments available, the prognosis for those diagnosed, and some of the current research that is occurring in the field.
