Did you know October is National Walking Month, or, as some call it, WALKTOBER? This year, we aim to walk the mileage across the United States of America! Here is how YOU can help us get there!
Enjoy a cool fall day on the walking trails at one of our parks! ????
Use your Recreation or Senior Activities Center Membership to cruise on one of our treadmills while you enjoy a good book or show. ????
Take your pup for an evening walk with the whole family around your neighborhood. ????
No matter the method, we want YOU to walk with US! Share your journey with our community using #WALKTOBER and tag us in your post! Walk 20+ days and complete a walking log during October to track progress and have the chance to win some great prizes!
Logs are available at the Hurst Recreation Center, Hurst Senior Activities Center, and at hursttx.gov/recreation.

Senior Banquet Tickets
The highly anticipated John Butler Memorial Senior Citizen's Banquet is on December 14. Hurst Residents or Senior Activities Center members over 55 can attend this free banquet filled with dinner, dancing, prizes, and more! Tickets are available on October 16 at the Hurst Recreation Center Administrative Office, open Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Tickets are also available by phone at 817.788.7325.

Santa Claus is returning to town and ready to take the perfect Christmas Card photo with your kiddo!
Join us for Hurst Tree Lighting at the Hurst Conference Center on November 28 from 5:00 – 8:30 p.m. Skip the general line and reserve your spot with Santa beforehand!
