Have you heard about our new training program? Last month we announced our partnership with the Democratic Party of Illinois to recruit and train candidates for down-ballot offices across the state.
You’ve all heard the old saying that all politics is local, and it’s really true! Today’s county board members and school board members are tomorrow’s State Representatives and Countywide officials.
Our goal with this new program is to build a robust, engaged pipeline of new leaders who are ready and excited to fight for our communities up and down the ballot. To help prop up this new program, we’ve set a goal as an organization to raise $10,000 by the End of Quarter deadline on Saturday at midnight. Now they are coming for county boards and other local offices. If we want to ensure we protect our communities, we need to be recruiting and training strong Democrats to run for those seats.
