You are one of the first people to hear: this morning, American Muckrakers took legal action to add Fox News and other media outlets and specific individuals to our ongoing defamation lawsuit against Lauren Boebert.

We are amending our lawsuit to include Fox News, Washington Times, The Washington Examiner, Fox Radio, Sean Hannity, Greg Jarrett, Tomi Lahren, Mike Huckabee and several other producers and journalists.

When Lauren Boebert knowingly made false and malicious statements about our deeply researched and fact-checked disclosures about her and her past — matters of intense public interest, especially during an election year — the media platforms and personalities that we are pulling into our lawsuit allowed her to spread lies about us with total impunity. As president of the organization, I made myself available to counter Boebert’s lies and propaganda and was denied that opportunity usually without explanation or justification.

The media must be held accountable for their role in giving a prime time platform for peddlers of disinformation, falsehoods, and outright scams. Politicians like Boebert and Donald Trump are out only to grift hard working Americans and fear monger and divide voters to stay in power. The buck has to stop somewhere, and we are fighting to ensure justice and accountability.

We promised to fight back, and we are delivering on those promises. But we’ve only made it this far because thousands of actual people, like yourself, have stepped up to help us out along the way.
