Friends,

Students and school staff are kicking off an exciting new year of learning and growth all across the country, and Stand with Parkland is working hard to ensure their safety.

Earlier this month, our president, Tony Montalto, had the opportunity to address school safety agents and officers from the New York Police Department’s School Safety Division as they prepared for the new school year, reminding them of the importance of their duties and thanking them for their service.

But we need your help spreading the word about school safety: Back in 2020, the federal government collaborated with Stand with Parkland to create SchoolSafety.gov, a website which would serve as a resource hub for schools working to make their students and teachers safer and more supported. Now, SchoolSafety.gov has over 485 resources spanning a wide range of topics, but not every school is aware of these resources.

Can you help spread the word by reaching out to schools in your area about the resources available at SchoolSafety.gov? To help you get started, we’ve attached a sample email that you can send, as well as SchoolSafety.gov’s official Back-to-School Communications Toolkit with more information about how you can help them spread the word.

Thank you for supporting the school safety movement, we are so grateful for your commitment to this issue.
