While families continue struggling to make ends meet and small businesses grapple with rising transportation costs due to skyrocketing gas prices, oil companies are seeing record profits.

I refuse to accept a future where oil companies profit at the expense of hard-working Washingtonians. We need more transparency in the oil industry and to make sure oil companies are held accountable for rising gas prices.

We’ve made incredible progress in combating climate change and limiting greenhouse gas emissions here in Washington. We’re on track to reach our goal of 100 percent clean energy, but we can’t let big oil companies hold us back from making more progress.
