Hey John, it’s Bill McKibben.

I’m a proud Vermonter, proud environmental activist, and extremely proud supporter of Vermont’s Representative, Becca Balint.

I’ve dedicated my career to studying the impact of global warming, and the science is clear: Protecting our planet requires urgent action from climate-conscious leaders like Becca. If any Vermonter ever had a doubt about that, this summer’s floods should be a good reminder of the fix we are in.

Since the day she was elected to Congress, Becca has fought against a GOP majority bought by oil & gas money. She knows that good-paying green jobs are the best way to fight the climate crisis, and she won’t stop at anything to secure them in Vermont and beyond – but she can’t do it alone.
