I took the stage at the second Republican presidential primary debate on September 27th to fight tooth and nail for our country, our freedom, our future, and your children because I know one thing to be true: America is suffering, and it’s up to US to change course.
I have good news: we’re one step closer to defeating Joe Biden and dismantling the woke indoctrination that’s run rampant across this country after we dominated on the debate stage. No excuses. Once again, we got the job done. Now, it’s time to kick up the intensity of this campaign, and I need to make sure you know who I am and who I’m fighting for so you can join me in this critical race.
I’m a blue-collar kid from Florida who worked to pay my way through college and law school in the years leading up to 9/11. After witnessing that horrific attack on the hard-earned freedom and democracy of this country, I knew I had to put on the uniform and serve my country, so I volunteered for the Navy and was deployed to Iraq as a JAG Officer in support of SEAL Team 1.
After my time in the service, I returned to Florida, where I continued the fight to defend the values I believe in as a Congressman and now Governor of this free state. In Florida, I met my incredible wife Casey at a driving range, got married in 2009, and have since been blessed with 3 young kids: Madison (6), Mason (5), and Mamie (3). My family is the reason I will NEVER back down from my fight to get the radical Left far away from our rights as parents and the education of children. I refuse to put up with the woke mob LYING to my kids about men getting pregnant.
I’ve watched Joe Biden try to indoctrinate children into ridiculous notions of gender ideology and radical critical race theory through public elementary schools. As a father to my three young children, I will not accept this decline and neglect of our next generation and I will put an end to it.
I have plans to rip up every failing policy and get to work reversing the decline of our country. On Day One as President, I am pledging to usher in a RECKONING for what unelected bureaucrats like Anthony Fauci and DC elites have done to children. I will ignite our Great American Comeback by immediately getting to work stopping the invasion across our southern border, ensuring our military once again puts the mission first, declaring our economic independence, and restoring our American energy dominance so that our country gets back on track before it's too late.
As Governor of Florida, I’ve made it my mission to lead with conviction, stand firm in the truth, and never back down from fighting for the people I serve, especially when Covid-19 caused commonsense to become an uncommon virtue across our country. We refused to bend the knee to unelected bureaucrats who thought they deserved the power to control American lives, and we benefitted because of it.
Leadership matters. We’ve set the example in Florida. But if we don’t get our entire country back on track now, we risk letting the Left lead our country down a deeper path of decline for four more years. I believe we can come back from the harm they’ve caused to our country so far, but we have to act.
Decline is a choice. Success is attainable. And freedom is worth fighting for. But we can’t win unless we come together and defeat Joe Biden next November. I want you to know, Friend: I am not running to be President, I am running to get things done as President.
Our nation is facing a critical choice in 2024: Freedom or Decline.
I made my case for the choice I need you to make with me on that debate stage in California. I know that no one is entitled to anything in this world, so I will continue to show up and take this vision of our Great American Comeback directly to you, as a Presidential candidate should.
